I USE TO TRUST MY GOVERNMENT

OBVIOUS

I have been debating and arguing with friends, family, and strangers in heated battles for the past 5 years. I felt some of the issues we discussed 3 to 4 years ago about government conspiracies were a waste of breath. I always defended my government, trusting the decisions they made were sound. I’m not so sure anymore.

Back in 02 and 03 I would always debate there was no way there could be government conspiracies aimed at the public. It would be impossible to have a masterful and sinister plan to manipulate American citizens. What would be the benefit of socializing America? The torch would have to be passed to countless people on the sly for decades. How stupid could this be? Well, I’m starting to wonder now.

Seat belt laws were one of the first ways to criminalize a honest layman and invade your car. The federal government forced states to adopt the .8 DWI laws. If they didn’t, the state would lose their federal highway funding. A .4 blood alcohol law will be enforced soon. Talk about crowded courtrooms. Mandatory child safety seats are a good thing, but special education is needed, or risk a visit from DSS. Kids are too fat today. Yet, sitting in a air conditioned home, playing indoor video games, and computer entertainment are not the problem. Simply, you’re not smart enough to eat right. I ate the same junk food and never got fat. I amusement myself outside, taught by my parents playing was good and made me healthy. Children today hear from paranoid parents, “it’s too dangerous to play outside“.

They are numerous less significant governmental manipulations and inflicted fears. It is obvious they are implementing more daring and bold operations today. These controlling laws will convict and ruin the honest human and, steel away your freedom. One current incident that spurred me was the two border guards that have been wrongly imprisoned. If shooting a gun totting drug dealer while protecting our nation is criminal, where do we stand as citizens? It would be impossible to take away citizens guns or stop private business from making ammunition, but passing laws making it illegal to use your weapon has happened. The stance our government is taking toward illegal immigration is a head scratchier. (Read “Here is the Plan“) at: www.bookienews.blogspot.com

Elected officials of today are acting like professional wrestlers. They are making their appearances, putting on a good show, going behind the curtain then laughing about the erratic crowd. Big TV media and radio are no different. They are purposely pitching against each other to spur anger in the audience.

Our elected officials won’t stand by or admit to their own decisions. Even adults are continually told they’re wrong, and need special direction. Why have we become incorrect in every aspect? Just watch and listen to the narcissistic right and left wing New World Media shows. All you hear is “no you’re wrong and I’m right“. Our pessimistic leaders and media have ruined the nation, and now they have injected their negativity into our personal lives and homes.

The government used to lie secretly to the voting public, hiding their actually identity. They feared voter recourse. It turned out what used to alarm politicians was not to be feared at all. No matter if they are up front with the truth or not, the results are the same. The media taught the 21st century politician to be fearless and lie openly. They now see an American public with no real strength. The weak-willed voting public gave birth to a contradicting, forceful, arrogant, manipulating government saying, “I dare you to do something about it“. This is what 1861 was really about.

In your post entitled "Spirit," you seem to be blaming the American people, or their lack of fighting spirit, for the problems we, as a nation, face in Iraq. Then in your post, "I used to trust my government," the blame for everything, including child care, is placed on the laws and regulations imposed by this government. Would it not be logical to blame the current situation in Iraq on the same government that is attempting to socialize America? As far as the possibility of government conspiracies, let's see: An electoral process that has been questioned, but not scrutinized during the last two presidential elections; the hiring of high ranking government officials based solely on loyalty, instead of competency; the hiring of 150 graduates of Jerry Falwell School of Law by our Justice Dept.(these are the people that couldn't get into the University of Phoenix); the politicization of our Justice system; the outing of a CIA operative resulting only in one conviction for obstruction whose sentence has now been commuted; the hiring of cronies involved in " The Project for a New American Century" by this administration and then adopting policies that were written by these people in the '90's, policies that include the idea of pre-emptive war and changing the regime in Iraq; ensuring Nazi-style propaganda is spewed by main-stream media by threatening to limit access by media; lies told over and over by key officials in this administration, not only to the American people, but to congress, as well. Conspiracies? Surely not. Not by the same people that claim to be the party of God and insist they are morally superior, but wait... isn't it the same members of this party that have been involved in one sex scandal after another for the last seven years? I guess moral superiority is a relative term. But, conspiracies? nahhhhh.... really ??
